The idea for Punkydoo Kids came from the combined ideas and experiences of two generations of stay-at-home moms.

Patricia comes from the generation influenced by first the Beatles, then David Bowie, all the way to the beginnings of the punk bands such as the Ramones.

Elizabeth comes from a generation of rap and hip-hop, Run DMC and the Beastie Boys, followed by the exciting beginnings of alternative music's Nirvana and Pearl Jam.

The DIY, or Do-It-Yourself, style of creating on an individual basis, and not mass production has always appealed to both moms. They both try to apply the idea of "Think Globally, Act Locally", and purchase goods and services that embrace these ideas.

Babies and grandchildren quickly became a busy and important part of each mom's life, and followed the desire to dress all of them not only comfortably but stylishly.  Thus the birth of our online child, Punkydoo Kids.  We add new ideas and merchandise constantly, so please check back with us regularly.
